Susan Musselwhite
Softball Coach
Susan Musselwhite begins her fourth season as the
Mississippi College Choctaws head softball coach. While playing
for the Choctaws, Musselwhite was a four-time First Team All-Gulf
South Conference member and was named to the NSCA All-South
Region First Team. Musselwhite holds many school records --
career hits (155), career batting average (.364), career doubles
(29) and homeruns (18).
She served as the graduate assistant coach under Rowanna Dozier before being named as the Choctaws head coach. Musselwhite has brought the same intensity and enthusiasm that she played with to the student-athletes that she now coaches.
In 1998, she led the Lady Choctaws to one of their best seasons in the school's history, a 17-8 mark, With the completion of the new softball complex in 1997, Musselwhite coached the first night game in MC's softball history.
A native of Southhaven, MS, Musselwhite completed her undergraduate degree in elementary education in 1994. She also earned a master of education in 1996 from Mississippi College.
