All-Conference Volleyball

RICHARDSON, Texas -- The American Southwest Conference named eight volleyball players to its All-Conference team today following a vote taken by the volleyball coaches. Five of the 11 volleyball playing institutions are represented on the All-Conference team. University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, Austin College and Howard Payne University each place two players among the eight selected. McMurry, and Hardin-Simmons each have one player represented on the team.

With the American Southwest Conference realigning into an East and West Division, the conference has named first and second teams in each division along with honorable mention. From the first teams in each division, the coaches have named a single combined all conference team. The eight point totals were named First-Team All-Division, the next four point totals were named Second-Team All-Division and anyone else receiving points was named Honorable Mention. To round out the post season awards, a Player of the Year, Newcomer of the Year and Coach of the Year have been selected in each division.
