About the Program
Are you curious, driven, and ready to take your college experience to the next level? The McMurry Honors Program challenges students through courses focused on creativity, critical thinking, and meaningful discussion.
Honors students complete a senior thesis in their major while working closely with faculty mentors. Many participate in research, travel courses, study abroad, athletics, fine arts, and campus leadership. The program enhances your academic experience—without overwhelming it—and prepares graduates for success in competitive careers and graduate programs.

After submitting all required materials, selected applicants will complete an interview as the final step in the Honors admission process.
Scholarships
The Honors Program awards scholarships ranging from $3,000 to $5,000 per year, in addition to your existing McMurry financial aid package.
To maintain the scholarship, students must uphold a minimum 3.5 GPA and demonstrate continued progress within the Honors Program.
We encourage early application, as scholarship funding is limited.
