POST-BACCALAUREATE PROGRAM
McMurry University has two certification options for individuals already possessing a bachelor's degree. 1)A post-baccalureate student may apply for the teacher education program and complete courses required of undergraduate students, as previously described. 2)If the post-baccalaureate student has had a degree for one or more years and wishes to become a secondary teacher, the student may apply for the FastTrack program which may require fewer hours. This option may include a paid internship in place of student teaching. In all cases, the student should consult with the university's Certification Officer well in advance of planned enrollment to ensure that admissions requirements can be met.
*Note for anyone graduating without certification: A student electing to graduate without certification can apply to the post-bac program no sooner than twelve months following graduation date.
