The McMurry Fund
 The McMurry Fund enables students to attend McMurry when the financial burdens of higher education become too much. It allows them to receive an education with the extraordinary benefits of personal attention, and most importantly, allows them to succeed. Over 90% of our students rely on some type of financial assistance to attend McMurry, which makes it the most important fund raising event we undertake each year. Plus, your donation is tax deductible.

 SCHOLARSHIP CORNER
Jessica, a native of El Paso, first visited McMurry as a junior in high school. After a few hours on campus, she had no doubt that this was where God wanted her to be. However, McMurry was not a school that her family could afford without help. Jessica applied to the Honors Program, praying for a scholarship, knowing that was really the only way she would be able to attend McMurry. Her prayers were answered when she received a scholarship from the Honors Program.
When Jessica started McMurry, she did not have a major. her involvement with the Servant Leadership Program and Ben Richey Boys Ranch led to her desire to be a middle school science teacher.
Because the Honors Program Scholarship did not cover her tuition, Jessica also received two smaller scholarships to help with her expenses. She is a recipient of the Blanche C. Calhoun Scholarship from the School of Education. And with her love of religion, and minor in that area, she was also awarded the Cal C. Wright Ministerial Scholarship.
The scholarships Jessica has received from McMurry have been invaluable to her. She states, "I have had a wonderful education and am excited to be moving on the the next step of my life. I honestly do not believe I would have been as successful elsewhere, and I couldn't have made it without the financial help of so many people. I am so grateful for the time I have been given at this University."
Through the generosity of scholarship donors, Jessica will graduate from McMurry in December 2005 with a degree in Secondary Education and a minor in Religion.
