BS in Computer Science and the required discipline-specific courses for a teaching degree in Computer Science. This degree focuses on the traditional foundations of Computer Science which include heavy concentrations of programming and mathematics along with computer organization and architecture, operating systems, algorithms and data structures, and networking. The program includes a capstone experience with a two-semester Software Engineering project to design and implement a software system. This program prepares students for careers in general software development and computer support for a wide range of real-world activities or for graduate school.
BS in Information Technology (NEW for 2011-12!) This degree focuses on the integration and utilization of technology to provide computer-based solutions in today’s global e-business environment. It includes a solid foundation of programming along with networking, information security, and systems integration. The program includes a capstone experience with a two-semester Software Engineering project to design and implement a software system. This program prepares students for careers in general computer support for a wide range of real-world activities.
