Welcome to the School of Arts and Letters. The disciplines in our school enrich students’ understanding of culture and the value of the imagination. Professors guide our students in honing their artistic talents, cultivating excellence in and out of the classroom. As practicing artists themselves, these professors take our students beyond the classroom into community presentations of art, music, theatre, writing, and speaking. We offer opportunities for students to exhibit their art, publish a literary magazine, participate in numerous music performances, and experience every aspect of theatre production.
Courses in language, communication, and the arts enrich students’ lives and develop initiative, creativity, and flexibility valued in any occupation. For our majors, these areas of study prepare them for teaching, graduate school, professional practice, law school, and similar professional positions.
