| Beth St Jean, M.Ed. Math Skills Coordinator |
|
I first started working at McMurry in spring 1995, as a part time professional math tutor and developmental math instructor. I missed teaching full time so I completed my Texas Teacher Certification program (2001) and taught at a local high school. I missed working at McMurry and fortunately, I was offered the AEC Mathematics Coordinator position. This was a full time position which included an increase in time teaching in the classroom. To stay up to date with ways to help the developmental math students at McMurry, I enrolled in a Masters program focusing on the special needs of the students I worked with; I graduated in 2008. I am continually looking for and using new methods/technology to help our developmental student succeed in mathematics.” |
