Online Education
Welcome to the Online Education Department at McMurry.
Online courses allow students to review computer materials anytime, anywhere online. Part of the course content may involve streaming video, graphics, audio, course websites, etc. Course tools (email, chats, discussions) encourage interaction. Computer and internet access are necessary.
Online courses provide information and instructional content online, usually in the form of interactive text, graphics, and various other types of online tools. Examples of these tools include course websites (such as provided by Moodle), streaming video, video conferencing, online chat, student progress tracking, e-mail, course calendars, and student gradebook.
Students are advised to use Mozilla Firefox to access course material through our Learning Management System (Moodle). Instructors may also require that students download and install special browser "plug-ins" to view certain types of content. Computer requirements are listed in the course.
