|Maggie Missal is the Instructor of Music Education and Adjunct Instructor of Clarinet at McMurry University. Ms. Missal holds degrees in Music Education and Clarinet Performance from Oklahoma State University and the University of Wisconsin. She has performed with the Tulsa Signature Symphony, Enid Symphony Orchestra, the Colorado Light Opera, and the Key City Winds. She has also worked as a private woodwind instructor in Oklahoma, Colorado, and Texas.
As a recipient of the Paul Collins Distinguished Fellowship, Ms. Missal performed and taught at the 2007 Festival De Musica De Santa Catarina in Brazil. In addition to performing and teaching privately, Ms. Missal has also served as a public school music educator in Texas, Colorado, and Oklahoma.
Her primary clarinet instructors include Linda Bartley and Babette Belter. Ms. Missal has also participated in masterclasses with Richard MacDowell, Susan Warner, Jon Manassee, and Ovanir Buosi.
She currently resides in Abilene with her wonderful husband Jason, also a professional musician.
