Position Title: Cleaning Technician
Job Type: Full Time
Department: Environmental Services
Supervisor: Director of Environmental Services
Major/Essential Duties of the Job:
The Cleaning Technician will be responsible for job assignments that include, but not limited to:
*Assists in monitoring overall campus facilities’ cleaning environment
*Perform daily/weekly cleaning tasks as scheduled or unscheduled
*Service, clean, or supply restrooms.
*Gather and empty trash.
*Assists current Environmental Services Staff when needed
*Follow procedures for proper use of chemicals, equipment and supplies
*Notify immediate supervisor, lead, or Director for tools/equipment malfunctions
*Assists with setups and take downs of campus events
*Respond to and perform adequate emergency clean-ups such as spills, leaks, etc..
*Effectively communicate with department coworkers and campus staff to ensure sufficient work flow
* Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming.
*Other duties as assigned by the Director and/or the immediate supervisor
Occasional duties:
*Must be able to lift supplies and equipment of 50lb or more on occasions
*Must be able to bend, stretch, twist with your body, arms, and/or legs
*Must be able to work overtime when needed
Preferred Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED or three plus years cleaning experience in a commercial or educational setting.
