How does a Christian university develop, equip and send the next generation of Christian servant leaders? McMurry in Motion is our answer to this important question. By developing opportunities for intentional engagement by students in national and international missions, we hope to provide transformational experiences for those serving and those being served. Christian author Frederick Buechner has defined vocation as "that place where your deep gladness and the world's deep hunger meet." As University students struggle with questions of vocation and calling, McMurry in Motion serves as a catalyst to discover where one's deep gladness and the world's deep hunger meet. The MICAH Project The MICAH Project is our five-year plan to execute this vision of seeing McMurry students, faculty and staff engage in creative missional opportunities around the world. MICAH is an acronym for the six countries/regions of the world in which McMurry is establishing long-term, transformational relationships with people who are already participating in the work of God in these regions. These countries/regions include: Mexico, the Middle East, India China, Africa and Haiti The MICAH Project was launched in the summer of 2010 as a group of students, faculty and staff traveled to Nanjing, China on an exploratory mission. As of summer 2011, McMurry has sent teams to China, the Mexico border and Haiti. Join the McMurry community as we take our next steps toward realizing this exciting vision! Mission Opportunities:
