"What should/shouldn't I
bring to college?"
Most often, students bring more than they realistically need so we have provided you with the following list of suggestions for things to bring with you to college. Please pack in reasonable quantities. Many students end up sending half of their belongings back home! If you don't see something on the list that you have questions about or you have suggestions for things to add, please e-mail us!

| 2 Desks (Only 1 per room in Gold Star) |
2 Mattresses (extra-long twin size) |

| Voicemail (no need for an answering machine) |
2 Dressers (Gold Star has drawers under beds) |

Calendar/Agenda books (pick one up at the information desk in the Campus Center!) |
| 2 Beds (Beds in Hunt, Martin, and President are bunkable. Beds in Hunt, Martin, and President do not need risers because equipment is provided to raise these beds. Beds in Gold Star can NOT be bunked and can NOT be raised.) |
| Long distance is available through the University when you set up an account. Phone cards may also be used. |
| Student ID cards - used for access to the residence halls, wellness/PE center facilities and altheltic games, charging books, picking up/cashing work-study paychecks, and for checking out library materials. You may also add money to your ID card for laundry and extra meals on campus. |

| Personal/Hygenie items (toothbrush, toothpaste, dental floss, deodorant, hairbrush/comb, shampoo, conditioner, soap, nail clippers, perfume/cologne, q-tips, razors, shaving cream, towels, washcloths, etc.) |
| School supplies (pens, pencils, notebook paper, highlighters, scissors, tape, stapler & staples, glue, paper clilps, ruler, art supplies, etc.) |

Things to coordinate with your roommate:
In order that you don't end up with two TV's or refrigerators or even worse-none at all, it is a good idea to coordinate with your roommate on who will bring the large items.

Leave at home:
The residence life staff would like you to be comfortable and safe in your on-campus home. Therefore, we ask that you not bring these items with you. These items may be confiscated and may also result in judicial action.
