McMurry University Family Weekend set for Sept. 27-28
Families of McMurry University students will have a great opportunity to experience campus life during McMurry University Family Weekend Sept. 27-28.
Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m., followed by a continental breakfast with McMurry faculty and staff and a welcome from McMurry University President Dr. John Russell
Several McMurry professors will provide McM Lifelong Learning Seminars from 10 to noon in the Amy Graves Ryan Fine Arts Center.
Dr. Paul Fabrizio will speak on “The Dynamics of the 2008 Presidential Election” Dr. John Miller will speak on “Perspectives on New Testament Biblical Studies.” Dr. Joel Brant will speak on “Perspectives in the field of Biology.” Greeley Myers will speak on “The Future of McMurry Moving Towards 2023.”
Families will meet for lunch in the Mabee Dining Hall at noon and will attend a Spirit Picnic and Tailgate party at 4:30 p.m. prior to McMurry’s football game against Mary Hardin-Baylor at 6 p.m. in Wilford Moore Stadium. A special reception for football parents will held in the Field House lobby from 3 to 3:45 p.m.
On Sunday, families are invited to attend special worship services at Aldersgate United Methodist Church across Sayles from campus at 11 a.m. or to worship at local churches with their student.
