Multimedia For Business is a Web site designed to encourage business using multimedia applications. On this Web site there is an advertisement for producing a unique business card on a CD-Rom. According to the article, this CD-Rom card is helpful when there is not enough time for a sales presentation. It is also helpful for such things as business meetings and conferences. Also, the Web site lists the many advantages to having a business card on a CD-Rom such as easy distribution, cost effectiveness, allows for instant feedback and links, and engages more of the viewers senses. The article also states that the Multimedia For Business team can offer you the services needed to produce these CD-Rom business cards. Such services include creating your message and video footage, multimedia authoring, and the reproduction of the video business cards. The article included a testimony by Dan White, president of Primary Worldwide, stating that they have had more sales appointments in the last three months than in the previous two years.
Personally,
I had a positive reaction to this article.
I was very impressed with the way Multimedia For Business presented
their idea. I believe the results from
using a video business card could be astonishing. A video business card is an ingenious idea
that is most certainly valid in the modern business world today. Not only does this video business card engage
more of the viewer’s senses, but also it saves money by reducing the costly job
of printing hundreds of brochures and small business cards, in addition to
being environmentally friendly by saving paper.
This is perfect for the businessman who does not have time for sales
presentations while traveling. If the
traveling businessman does not have time for a long, sometimes boring Power
Point presentation, and a brochure will not get the sale, a video business card
is perfect for such occasions. The
information in the article was clear and well thought out, but designed to
encourage the use of their company to produce the video cards. The article was written in more of a
persuasive technique than an informative technique. In my opinion, the article was lacking in
information. The article could have
included such information as the exact price benefits, or directions on how to
produce video cards without using their company. But it was an excellent idea. In my opinion, businesses could inexpensively
produce their own video business cards, which I would do in my own
company. I would definitely encourage
the use of video business cards in my business.
I believe this would give me the edge needed in such a competitive
business world.
